What can be more hopeless than cleansing a society of an omnipresent darkness, without the luminescence of a candlestick to light the way? All institutions, governments, banks and judicial systems are thoroughly compromised, and now the enemies of humanity are going for checkmate. The end of the line for liberty is flagged by the Central Bank Digital Currency.
This is well known to many, and it´s sown a deep distrust for technology among libertarians circles. It´s true to say, “a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.” Bitcoin, though an anchorage to truth, is perceived as a threat to freedom lovers who do not understand it. They fear it because they fear CBDCs, and do not know the difference. They fear CBDCs, because they do not know how to stop them. Though we were given Excalibur 14 years ago, they believe they are powerless. A sword left in the stone is just a statue, but if we wield it together we can slay this dragon.

A race for the future
Imagine a world with no need for banks. Humanity transacts with a deflationary, permissionless, and decentralized monetary system controlled by nobody, and regulated by everybody. Imagine a world without tax-theft, and governments behaving like actual public servants, without the capacity to steal half of everything we earn. Imagine paying at a store checkout, and not forfeiting an additional 13% to fund greed-driven invasions. Imagine money backed by rules of scarcity, not by debt and bombs.
Now imagine a world with a carbon spending limit, where you are held down in poverty and fined for buying a new pair of shoes. You live in a 500 square foot coffin of a home, with a bed so small you need to sleep on your side. Meat is prohibited, and you´re sick of eating bugs to stay under your carbon allowance. You have a chip in your hand, which you wave over the scanners on doors and checkouts, and if you walk too far from your home a computer turns off your money.
There´s an unseen race to outpace the end of liberty forever. Every inch of ground we lose, we will not gain back through political action. The solution exists in words like “enough” and “no”, with a plan behind them. Violence is not in our playbook. Certainly, they have a monopoly on engines of destruction. However, we hold a key advantage. They are a parasite and need us to survive, we most certainly do not need them. To take it all back, we must exodus the systems that abuse us, and build the world we want to live in; one brick at a time.

We are the ones we´ve been waiting for
The road will not be easy, and it will not be short, but we are mankind. We build, we farm, we invent, and we survive. It is in our very code to prosper. On behalf of our ancestors, we live today and we will survive tomorrow. If we fall, we will rise. We will rise because it´s ingrained not into who we are, but into what we are.
What will the poets sing of us in the next age? Will they sing of how we lived on our knees, or of how we challenged fear itself and rose to our feet? Our fate is what we make. Choose.
One Response
Psalm 46
1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
